NOEL SMITH

Noel Smith, the Managing Partner holds fellowships from the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and the Association of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Based Management Information Systems from the University of the West Indies. Prior to commencing private practice, Smith worked as an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick. He subsequently worked in the industrial sector as Director of Finance for several years.

Mrs. Valoris Smith joined Smith and Associates, Chartered Accountants as a partner in January 1990.

Mrs. Smith has vast knowledge and expertise in the field of auditing, finance and accounts, and management. She worked as: Director Corporate Services at the Ministry of Tourism; Director Corporate Management, Financial and Accounts Manager at the National Environment and Planning Agency; Assistant Vice President Finance and Administration at JAMPRO Invest and Trade; Group Finance Manager at UGI Group Limited. Mrs. Smith accumulated over nine years of experience, in providing audit services to a wide spectrum of clients, including financial services, and manufacturing organizations, at PriceWaterhouseCoopers-with her final position there being an Assistant Audit Manager.

Mrs. Smith holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the College of Arts, Science and Technology (now University of Technology, Jamaica), and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Banking from the Mona School of Business, University of the West Indies. She is a fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ). Mrs. Smith, a doctoral candidate, is currently completing her Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at the Mona School of Business, University of the West Indies.

Mrs. Smith is a member of the Lions Club of the New Kingston.
